The Lions release RB Jahvid Best. A 4th year man out of Cal, Best suffered two concussions in 2011 one against Buffalo in the preseason and the last against the 49ers. The Lions are 9-19 since his injury. His career record finished at 11-11, 7-8 as a starter. He is $1.1 million in dead money in 2013 and 2014. His release saves $800,000 in 2013 $1.1 mil in 2014.
