After the some off the field news here is my second go in a mock.

Round 1 pick # 23

CB Dre Kirkpatrick

I will be optimistic and predict Dre will fall to us at # 23. at 6014 186 he ran 4.51 at the combine. His jumps were 35" and 10'. 7.2 L Drill on campus. In his 3 years at Alabama, he had 3 picks, 91 tackles and 19 PBU.

Here is Dre vs. Arkansas

Option # 2 DE Whitney Mercilus. If all the lineman and corners are gone. A DE will help.

Round # 2 # 54
OT Mike Adams

Even with Adams failing a drug test at the combine, his talent is too much to pass at #54. At over 6'7" and 323 lbs. he has 34" and 82.7" wingspan. I consider him a medium character risk and could use a year in a solid locker room. 5.4 40 21 reps 28.5 VJ 804 Broad 4.95 20 7.94 L Drill. 30 games 25 starts at Ohio State.

Option # 2 Brandon Brooks OG Miami. A fast riser who played great the East-West game and blew up his pro day. He ran 5.00 in the 40 and did 36 reps at 225. A real solid 4.53 20 and 7.37 L-Drill. 43 starts at Miami Ohio.

Round # 3 Rick # 85

Dwight Bentley
5097 182 ran 4.43 at the combine. 13 reps 35.5 vj. 906 broad. 4.5 20 6.99 l drill. Started 45 games at Louisiana-Lafayette. He totalled 232 tackles 7 picks and 20 PBU in his career.

A tough nickel corner. Played well at the senior bowl and ran well at the combine.

Here he is vs. San Diego State.

Round # 4 Pick # 117

WR Devon Wylie
A Wes Welker clone. 5'9" 186 lbs. 4.39 40 at the combine 17 reps 39" vj 10'3" broad 4.16 20 6.82 l drill.
He is the fastest player in the Fresno State history. Great Punt Returner as well. Caught 98 pases in 45 games 8 for td. The Lions will take a small quick slot guy like Wylie. Look for LaMichael James, Keyshawn Martin, Rishard Matthews, Joe Adams or T.Y. Hilton as well in this draft.

Here is Wylie vs. Nebraska

Round # 5 #158

QB Ryan Lindley
Lions take at developmental QB here. Nearly 6'4" and 230 lbs. A foru year starter with a big arm. He needs to work on his foot work and accuracy. Good upside for a backup. He ran 4.9 in the 40 and 29.5 vj.
He threw for 12,690 yards 90 td 47 int and 55.5% in 49 starts at San Diego State.

Here he is vs. Michigan

Round #7 219

DE Braylon Broughton
Broughton a fast riser after a nice pro day at TCU. A one year starter with limited stats. At 6'4' 254 lbs. he ran a 4.55 40 did 26 reps and had a 36" vj. 4.3 20 7.19 l drill.

Pick #230

RB Bryce Brown
Former Tennessee RB Brown has great upside. 6' 223 lbs. ran 4.48 on campus and did 24 reps and 34" vj. 4.2 20 7.04 l drill. Limited carries in college and has some character issues.

Here he is as a frosh at Tennessee
