Detroit Lions off-season report card

Additions:

Offense:
OG Laken Tomlinson (1st round pick)
OT Corey Robinson (7th round pick)
OG Manny Ramirez (Trade)
RB Ameer Abdullah (2nd round pick)
FB Michael Burton (5th round pick)
WR Greg Salas (Free agent)

Subtractions:

OT Corey Hilliard (Jets)
OG Rodney Austin (Arrest)
RB Reggie Bush (49ers)
FB Jed Collins
TE Kellen Davis (Jets)

Under the radar acquisition:
RB Zach Zenner (UDFA)

Analysis:

No major losses on offense. The Lions re tool the offensive line. It could be among the youngest groups in the NFL. Reggie Bush was awful in 2014, he will replaced by Abdullah. Lions will kick the tires on Moore and Salas at WR.

Additions:

Defense:
DT Haloti Ngata (Trade)
DT Tyrunn Walker (Free Agent)
DT Gabe Wright (4th round pick)
DE Philip Hunt (Free agent)
DE Corey Wooten (Free agent)
LB Brandon Copeland (Free agent)
CB Chris Owens (Free Agent)
CB Josh Wilson (Free Agent)
CB Alex Carter (3rd round pick)
CB Quandre Diggs (6th round pick)
CB Crezdon Butler (Free agent)

Subtractions:
DT Suh (Dolphins)
DT Nick Fairley (Rams)
DT CJ Mosley (Dolphins
DT Andre Fluellen (Bills)
DE George Johnson (Trade to Bucs)
LB Ashlee Palmer
CB Cassius Vaughn (Redskins)
CB Dwight Bentley

Under the radar acquisition:

S Isaiah Johnson (UDFA)

Analysis:

The loss of Suh is the greatest loss of a player since Barry Sanders left the team. He dominated the game and made others around him better. The combination of Ngata and Walker will not be able to replace him. The lions brought in veterans and draft picks to try to lockdown the nickel position. The Lions have been awful there since Eric Wright left. It looks like they are just praying somewhere can play there.
