Detroit Lions sign LB Rocky McIntosh, CB Rashean Mathis, 2 others

After the disaster at Cleveland, the Lions have hit the panic button. They have signed aging veterans on the backside of their career.

Rocky McIntosh

An 8 year man out fo the U. He ranked # 37 out of #43 at OLB on PFF, 3 ahead of DeAndre Levy. He is in the mix at OLB because Ashlee Palmer is up and down and Whitehead and Lewis are awful. The Lions are in trouble at LB. OVerall, 108 g 78 GS 515 tackles 9 sacks 4 int 8 FF.

Here is a tribute:

Rock spent 6 years in Washington
92 g 69 starts 3 int
Rashean Mathis

Another veteran CB in the tradition of Drayton Florence, Anthony Henry, Doug Evans etc, these guys rarely work out. Mathis is an 11 year man out Bethune-Cookman, he has spent his whole career at Jacksonville. He ranked # 77 at CB by PFF.

Here is a tribute:

137 games 129 starts
512 tackles 30 int 104 PBU 6 FF
 Cameron Morrah

Matt Veldman is hurt so the TE is a light.  Morrah is a former 7th round pick out Cal for Seattle. Unlikely to have a chance at a spot.

27 games 7 start
16 rec 194 yards
  Kevin Haslam

A 4th year man out of Rutgers, Haslam has bonced around from Jacksonville, San Diego and New England.
He is insurance for either Hilliard or Waddle.

Here is a tribute:

10 games 3 starts for Kevin
Welcome to Detroit
