Lions Ten Best Free Agent Signings

Mike Johnson ILB 1994-1995

Johnson made 250 tackles, had 3 picks and forced 6 fumbles.

Henry Thomas DT 1995-1996

Thomas was signed away from the Vikings and 16.5 sacks in 31 games. He accounted for 115 tackles and 3 forced fumbles.






Ray Roberts OT 1996-2000

Signed away from Seattle, Ray started 77 games.

Mark Carrier S 1997-1999

Started 34 games, had 11 picks and 207 tackles. Gave the Lions a little attitude in the secondary.








James Stewart RB 2000-2003

Signed a five year contract for 25 mil. Rushed for 2890 yards and 15 TD. Caught 80 passes for 4 touchdowns.








Todd Lyght CB 2001-2002

Lyght picked 6 passes and 20 pass defensed.







Earl Holmes LB 2003-2005

281 tackles in 37 games. The Lions have really never replaced him. Hopefully, Levy will be the answer.








Dre Bly CB 2003-2006

19 picks 189 tackels 3 Defensive TD. A playmaker at corner.









Paris Lenon LB 2006-2008

Signed as a backup away from Green Bay, emerged as a starter. He amassed 310 tackles.










Kitna was known to throw his coaches under the bus
Jon Kitna QB 2006-2008
36 starts threw for over 9,000 yards and 49 TD.
