Lions activate 2nd round pick OLB Kyle Van Noy off the short term injured reserve. He missed the 1st 8 games of the season with ab tear and surgery. He has been back to practice for two weeks and should be ready for active duty on Sunday.

Lions waive nickel back Danny Gorrer. Gorrer was signed when Dwight Bentley and Nevin Lawson were lost for the season. Cassius Vaughn and Don Carey can play inside.
