Lions claim S DeJon Gomes from waivers. He played for the first two years of his career with Washington. He was a 5th round pick in 2011 out of Nebraska. The Lions will have to cut a player with this move. Gomes gives the Lions some depth and youth at safety. He has 2 years left on his contract $555,000 in 2013 and $645,000 in 2014.
