Detroit Lions Interior O line Draft Preview

Lions have emerged from free agency in need of interior line help. Graham Glasgow signed with Denver leaving castoffs and unproven players. a 2nd day pick on a Interior Lineman is possible.

Center:

Lloyd Cushenberry LSU 6032 312 5.27 25 reps 6.5 2nd round
Strong guy with a good anchor. Moves his feet well. Only lineman at the Senior Bowl who could compete with Kinlaw and Davidson. Started 27 games.

Cesar Ruiz Michigan 6026 307 5.08 28 33 905 7.91 4.64 6.4 2nd Round
Played much better this season than last. A good athlete who could play some guard as well.

Matt Hennessy Temple 6040 307 5.18 23 30" 902 7.45 4.6 2nd Round
Tough player who can be a starter in his rookie season. Looked like a pro ready player at the Senior Bowl for the North.

Tyler Biadasz Wisconsin 6035 314 6.3 3rd round
Injury concern after shoulder surgery held him out of the combine. Wisconsin lineman are usually ready to run block and get better at pass protection as they gain experience. 41 career starts

Keith Ismael SDSU 6030 309 5.34 32" 900 4.65 4th-5th round
Can play all interior positions and is a sound lineman. Will not over power players and should be best in a zone scheme.

Darryl Williams Mississippi State  6024 304 5.9 3rd Day
Two year starter at guard and started last season at center. A much better center than guard. Should be the back up at the interior and start later in his career. He was the best lineman at the Shrine game.

Jake Hanson Oregon 6043 303 5.5 33 reps 3rd day
Four year starter at center. Shows more quickness than power. Injury concern held him out most the combine and pro day. Could be a back up at the interior line. 34 career starts

Nick Harris Washington 6012 302 5.1 20 29.5 807 Day 3
Struggled at the Senior Bowl for the North. Strictly at zone blocking Center. I don't think he would fit with the Lions.

Calvin Throckmorton Oregon 6047 317 5.57 23 27" 801 8.07 4.98 Day 3
Really good player at Right Tackle. 52 game starter. Versatility. Poor testing on movement makes him a prime candidate to move to center. Turns 24 during the season.

Guard

Ben Bredeson Michigan 6046 316 3rd round
Four year starter (46). Really smart player. Should fit well into the Lions scheme. Possible starter early in his career. Played for the North team at the Senior Bowl.

Robert Hunt Louisiana 6051 323 3rd round.
Big guy with 4 years starting experience. Will be a good fit with power running teams.Played mostly at Right Tackle. Turns 24 before the season.

Damien Lewis LSU 6020 329 5.24 27 30" 900 3rd round
Strong guy with big game experience. Improved while at the Senior Bowl. Started 27 games.

Jonah Jackson Ohio State 6034 306 5.23 28 26" 802 7.83 5.02 4th round
Transfer from Rutgers.Coaches raved about this guy. Limited as an athlete makes it for it with strength and toughness. Played for the North in the Senior Bowl.

Solomon Kindley Georgia 6032 337 Day 3
Came out as junior. Strong guy who played on the best O-line in College football. Power player with strength to move. Will have to work on his footwork to pass protect.

Shane Lemeuix Oregon 6037 310 5.11 26 25.5" 811 8.13 4.9 Day 3
4 year starter at guard. More of finesse player. Not a great athlete. He has to get stronger.

Netane Muti 6027 315 44 reps ???
A favorite of Pro Football Focus. Three season ending injuries. 3 starts at LT 16 at LG. Some might gamble 3-4 round.

Logan Stenberg Kentucky 6061 317 5.3 26" 808 5th Round
Played at the Senior Bowl. Improved all week. Not a quick guy but plays hard. May develop into a starter. Dependable back up. 4 year starter at left guard. Nasty disposition with strong hands.

Tremayne Anchrum Clemson 6021 314 5.21 26 24.5" 808 5th Round
Played Right Tackle. Has to move inside. Good arm length and experience.

John Simpson Clemson 6044 321 5.24 34 30" 811 8.01 4.69 5th round
Played at the Senior Bowl. Struggled early but gto better as the week went on. Big road grading guard. Not a great athlete but could develop in time into a quality guard. Started 29 games. 34 reps with over 34" arms is impressive.

Hakeem Adeniji Kansas 6043 302 5.17 26 34" 907 8.32 5.08 Day 3
Moved to guard for the North at the Senior Bowl. Played well especially in the game. Has starter potential. Could be a swing tackle in a pinch. Good arm length and hand size. Played exclusively at left tackle last season.

Kyle Murphy Rhode Island 6027 316 5.3 28 808 7.81 4.68 Day 3
Played left tackle. Will move inside and has starter potential. 33.8" inch arms and 10" hands. Sleeper pick.

Kevin Dotson Louisiana 6040 310 Day 3
Big guy. Excellent run blocker. Limited in pass protection. Has upside but needs time.

Tyre Phillips Mississippi State 6051 331 5.37 22 25: 709 8.17 5.11 Day 3
Big guy. Excellent run blocker. 35" arms but doesn't have the feet. Developmental player with upside. Schooled at the Senior Bowl by the edge players of the North. Has to play guard.

Dan Pinter Ball State  6042 306 4.91 24 29.5" 902 7.76 4.62 Day 3
Good athlete. Played right tackle at Ball State. Only 31. 8" arms. Has play inside. Has upside and could develop in a couple years.

Mike Onwenu Michigan 6023 344 26 reps Day 3
Strong run blocker. Threw guys around at the Shrine game. Over 34" arms. Has big upside.

Jon Runyan Michigan 6041 306 5.08 24 27" 811 7.57 4.69 UDFA
Moved to guard at the Shrine game and played well.  Played left tackle in college and will move inside for a shot. 33.2" arms. Not a lot pop but has some feet.
