Detroit Lions re-sign Ricardo Silva and release CB Ross Weaver from the practice squad


The Lions re-signed 2nd year safety Ricardo Silva to the practice squad. He  made the 53 man roster but was released when we signed CB Drayton Florence. Silva is a strong special teams player with upside at safety

Here is a tribute:

Silva has 30 tackles and 2 ints int he preseason
Gun tells Silva he is back on the squad

Ricardo played 4 regular season games and 1 playoff game in 2011.
He made 3 tackles.

Lions release Ross Weaver from the practice squad. A Southfield High and MSU grad, Weaver has spent time with the Cowboys and Raiders. He signed with the practice squad in 2011 and made the 75 man cut in August.
