Louis Delmas #53 Safety 5 missed tackles 12 stps 1 penalty 1 int

Interesting decision. Delmas is always hurt and makes very little impact plays. He has 1 int since his rookie year. Takes bad angles in both the run and pass game.

Next season
Free agent.

Don Carey #28 S 7 stops 4 PBU 4 missed tackles 2 int 11 special teams tackles

Good year for Carey. Struggled against the Bears but played well other than that. Not a starter but a good # S and special teams guy.

Next season:
Restricted free agent, starting S


Tyrell Johnson 22 snaps 2 stops

Veteran signed in laste season and moved to the # 3 spot.

Next season:
Under contract #715,000 starter at S


Ricardo Silva #69 S 6 missed tackles 5 stops 1 int

A good run defender and special team guy but horrible in coverage.

Amari Spievey
Played well once he regained his spot but suffered his 4th concussion and his season was done.

Decent rookie season for Jonte. Got better but Atlanta schooled him. Has a future but as # 4 CB.
 Terrible special teams guy.

Bad year for Bill. Has skills but cannot find the ball.

Bartell showed some tread on the tires. Could be a starter next year.

Bad year for Tully. Looked like a pro bowler last season and this season was one worst linebackers in the league. Ranked # 6 last season this season #34. 8 missed tackles last year 24 this year.

DeAndre Levy #41 out 43 LB ahead of 2 rookies. 13 missed tackles 10 bad plays 32/42/1 380 3td.

God awful season for Levy. Slow in pursuit and coverage.

Free agent. Hopefully, playing for someone else.

Justin Durant # 18 OLB in the NFL 19 Missed tackles 55 stops 40/59/0 370 2td in coverage

Strictly a run stopping LB. Zero coverage or pass rushing ability. Must come off the field in nickel situations.

Free agent- Re-sign $1.5 mil start at LB



Ashlee Palmer 2 starts 4 missed tackles 2/4/0 19 yards 1 td in coverage.

A solid #4 LB and special teams guy. Made 16 special team tackles this year 3rd int he NFL.

Tahir Whitehead 7 special teams tackles 1 FF

Redshirt year on special teams. We need him to be a legit LB next season.

Great season for Suh. All-pro the 2nd half. Improved his ranking from # 33 in 2011 to # 4 this season. HAd 4 QBHits in 2011,  31 this season.

Next season under contract $11.9 mil cap hit.

Nick Fairley #5 DT 5 sacks 13 QBH 23 stops 11 penalties.

Great season for Nick. Has to cut down on his penalties but a great player. If he stays in shape and ou of trouble could be an all-pro.

Next Season:
under contract $2.7 mil starting next to Suh


Sammie Hill #24 DT 4 QBhits 9 stops 4 penalities

Good season for Sam. Not a starter but a good 20 snap guy. Can push the pocket and defend the run.

Next season
Free agent. Re-sign for about $2 mil a year.

Corey Williams 2 sacks 6 stops 3 penalities

Struggled with injuries the last two years. When healthy still a producitve player but at 32 he is always hurt.

Next year:
Free agent. Maybe a $1.5 mil player.

Andre Fluellen 4 tackles 3 stops 1 QBH

I have a lot repsect for Andre. Came in in shape and played really hard. A 5th DT type of guy.

Free agent, maybe a veteran min deal.

Signed to rotate at tackle. Has NFL experience with the Chargers will get a shot in the off-season

Horrible year for Kyle. Had a nice career but he is out of gas.

Under contract $9.24 cap hit, hopefully retired.


Clffi Avril #55 DE 10 sacks 7 QBH 23 stops 8 missed tackles NFl rank vs run # 28

Terrible year for Cliff. Struggled against the run and generated little pass rush. Produced zero turnovers (did force 2 fumbles but we did not recover).

Next Season
Free agent, hopefully playing in the AFC with a fat contract.


Larence Jackson #39 ranked DE 3 sacks 14 stops

Solid season. Played better in the 2nd half. Good run stopper. A rotational player at best.

Next season:
Free Agent, re-sign for $ 1.5 mil


Willie Young # 47 ranked DE 5 QBH 8 stops 6 penalties

Terrible 1st half for Willie, settled down and was okay the 2nd half. Big decision on whether to tender him as RFA next year.

Next season:
RFA rotational player at DE.


Ronnell Lewis 1 snap

Tough year for Ronnell. Lost his job on special teams and was the # 5 end. Making the transition from LB is not easy. WIll get his shot in 2013.

Valuable player who can move the chains on 3rd down and make plays in the red zone. If healthy we need him back.

Really killed us this season. A selfish, immature player who can play when motivated.

Next season:
Under contract, $1.2 mil hit. Hopefully, on the couch in Compton.

His injury really finished us off. Seems like a good target underneath but his future is in doubt.

Next season:
Under contract $880,000 starts the season on PUP.

acquired in a trade at midseason. He did little with ample opportunity. Not an outside receiver, must play slot. Bad trade.

Under contract $1.45 mil. Fake reverse guy and punt returner.

Picked up off the couch in midseason. Played alright. Not a lot of burst or speed but can catch in traffic.

under contract $715,000 4th receiver until Broyles comes back from PUP.

Slow, tall receiver who cannot really get open. Decent hands and height.

Terrible year for Grew. Hurt a lot, dropped the ball a lot, fumbled a lot. We need him to rebound to his 2011 form.

Bad year for Scheff. Not on the same page with Staff much of the year. 6 interceptions were targeted to Tony.

Solid year for Heller. Likely the slowest TE in the NFL and a decent blocker. He stays healthy and does not fumble.

Was an average player in 2012 until the Bears game. He broke 17 tackles in the game. He only had 14 coming into the game. He jumped 2 spots in the elusive rank. If Mikel can stay out of trouble, stay helathy and get in shape, he has a chance.

A pleasant surprise but needs to clean up some of his game. Lost 3 fumbles and had 3 penalities.
