Preseason action At Ford Field Friday Night.

Some quick observations:

1. If you want to win preseason games geta mobile QB for the 4th Quarter. (Drew Stanton)

2. Kellen Moore is terrible. I have seen 3 practices and a half of preseason game. Awful. Cannot throw the ball.

3. Keiland Williams ran North and South good to see.

4. WIllie Young is a stud.

5. Everette Brown is going to be tough to cut.

Detroit Lions S Louis Delmas has knee surgery

4th year safety from Western Michigan University Louis Delmas had surgery on his left knee yesterday by Dr. James Andrews. This is not a good sign for the Lions or Delmas.

Lions safeties without Delmas: Erik Coleman, Amari Spievey, Sean Jones, Don Carey, Ricardo Silva and John Wendling. Carey is also injured.

Detroit Lions autograph session at Ford Field

Crazy day at Ford Field. Two years ago, it was a free for all, people running, getting stuck in the turn style. This year 180 degree turn, TSA like security. I was 10th in line and it took almost 20 minutes to get in. They took two minutes to search my 8 year old son. I had to rely on my experience at the event to get the max.

Tahir was real cool, he said Gunther was a great coach, as did Jonte Green. Green said Gunther setting me straight. Wallace Miles and Tahir talked some smack about hitting in practice.

Titus, Rob Sims, and WIllie Young all loved my son's hat. A hit every year.

The hour and half wait and slow checkpoint almost makes this not worth it.

Cliff Avril reports to Detroit Lions Camp

Surprise, Cliff Avril signs his $10.6 million tender and reports to camp. Just in time for the open practice at Ford Field.

Lions Waive LB Ronnie Sneed, Sign Korey Bosworth

The shoulder injury to LB Ronnie Sneed has caused him to be waived/injured by the Lions. He will be able to sign when healthy or revert to the Injured Reserve list. Sneed is UDFA out of Kentucky. His pro day was 6' 235 lbs 4.64 18 reps 30 VJ 900 Broad 4.46 20 6.99 LDrill.

Lions re-sign LB Korey Bosworth. This is his 2nd stint with the Lions, He was an UDFA in 2010 and spent the year on Injured Reserve. He was cut in camp in 2011. His pro day was 6'1" 237 lbs 4.63 40 26 reps 30 VJ 906 Braod 4.34 20 6.98 LDrill
