Detroit Lions after losing back up QB Shaun Hill to the Rams sign former starter Dan Orlovsky. Dan signed for the veteran minimum and saved us about $1.5 mil. However, Hill was pretty good, Orlovsky is not. HE has played for three other NFL teams starting 5 winning 2 with the Colts. He spent the last 2 years with the Bucs.

Lions sign O-lineman J.B. Shugarts, a third year man from the Ohio State. He can play OG and Right Tackle. He has played for the Browns, Cowboys and the Jets. He has yet to play in the NFL regular season.
