Lions waive 3rd year man Rodney Austin. Rodney played 2nd string on the right side but struggled in the preseason. It looks like the Lions will go with 8 OLineman. Rodney will be a practice squad candidate if he clears waivers. The Titans tried to sign him last year but the Lions promoted him to the 53, appearing the season finale at Minnesota.
