Fuller celebrates on his his two TDs in the preseason

No way Fuller was going to clear waivers. He now has a chance to develop and play role during the season.
Durham was awful.

Who is next to get cut:

The safety position has 5. Couplin might be the next guy if the Lions pick up another CB.

Who might be brought back:

When Van Noy is placed on the IR. Look for Darryl Tapp to be brought back. He can play special teams and Sam LB.

Keeping only 8 OL. Cutting Rodney Austin probably was the right call. He could be back on the practice squad. Garrett Reynolds will be available later in the season. Look for 3 olineman on the practice squad.

Detroit Lions waive OG Rodney Austin

Lions waive 3rd year man Rodney Austin. Rodney played 2nd string on the right side but struggled in the preseason. It looks like the Lions will go with 8 OLineman. Rodney will be a practice squad candidate if he clears waivers. The Titans tried to sign him last year but the Lions promoted him to the 53, appearing the season finale at Minnesota.

Detroit Lions waive Kris Durham. Durham was one of the worst players in the NFL last season. He caught 38 of 88 passes targeted to him and lost a fumble. Looks like Corey Fuller will make the team, he would have been claimed off of waivers by a number of teams.
