Lions place veteran TE David Ausberry on season ending injured reserve. He has an undisclosed injury, he likely will be have an injury settlement. He was brought in to give depth and competition at tight end.

Lions sign 2nd year CB Jocquel Skinner. He was an UDFA out of Bethel in 2014. He has bounced around from the Cowboys, Bucs and Panthers. He has not appeared in an NFL game, he has a slim chance to make the team but has practice squad eligibility.
