Nick Fairley sign with the Rams, 2010-2011 draft done in Detroit
2011 1st round pick Nick Fairley signed a 1 year contract with the Rams. He was the last of the 2010-2011 draft picks by Martin Mayhew to leave the team. None of them signed a 2nd contract with theam. Only one (Suh) was even offered a second contract.

Detroit Lions sign DT Tyrunn Walker
Lions signed 4th year man Tyrunn Walker form the Saints. He was UDFA in 2013 out of Tulsa. Walker was given a 1 year $1.75 mil contract with $750,000 signing bonus. He averaged 19 snaps a game in 2014 and proved to a solid rotational player especially on pass downs. This fits with what Mayhew has done in the past, young guy on his 2nd contract.

Detroit Lions trade for DT Haloti Ngata
Lions replace Suh with 31 year old 9 year veteran Haloti Ngata from the Ravens. Lions traded their 4th and 5th round pick in this draft. Lions receive the Ravens 7th round pick.
Ngata has 1 year left on his contract for $8.5 million. He is not a long term fix but does give the Lions a physical presence next season.

Lions DT Nick Fairley will be in St. Louis next season. He signed a 1 year contract.. He has visited the Bengals.
With Suh gone to Miami and Nick gone to the Rams that Ebron draft looks really stupid.
